Computer Systems Technology (CST) Program
Mr. Park, the subject of this success story, applied to the Computer Systems Technology (CST) diploma program at BCIT. It is a two-year program starting in either September or January each year, conducted across the Downtown Campus and the main Burnaby Campus.
After graduating from the CST program, students can pursue a wide range of careers, including one of the high-demand jobs of Computer Systems Analyst. As of 2024, the annual salary for a Computer Systems Analyst is $81,906, compared to Canada’s average salary of $47,618, making it a well-paying profession.
PGWP Eligible Program
According to an announcement made on October 4, starting from November 1, 2024, only programs in the designated fields of study will qualify for Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) issuance for non-bachelor, master’s, or PhD programs. The Computer Systems Technology program is one of these designated fields.
