Hello, we are NohProblem Consulting, specializing in Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certifications.
Today, we are excited to share the news of our client, Ms. Choi’s, successful approval for her ECE Level 3 certification in Canada!
Let’s dive into the details, shall we?
What is an ECE certification?
ECE stands for Early Childhood Education, a field focused on early childhood education. Due to a shortage of specialized professionals in Canada, many Koreans are interested in pursuing this career. To work as an early childhood educator in Canada, you need an ECE certification, which is divided into three levels. Each level requires a different number of credits.
This certification can be obtained both in Canada and through Korea’s credit banking system.
✅ Level 1: Assistant Teacher / 9 credits (completion of 13 courses)
✅ Level 2: Lead Teacher / 39 credits (completion of 13 courses)
✅ Level 3: Early Childhood Educator for infants, toddlers, or children with disabilities / 81 credits (completion of 27 courses)
The requirements for ECE certification vary by province in Canada, which often causes confusion. Some provinces require proof of English proficiency, practical experience, or specific qualifications. Many people opt to complete their certification through Saskatchewan (SK) due to its simpler requirements, which focus mainly on academic credits without the need for English or experience.
Let’s take a look at Ms. Choi’s ECE Level 3 timeline in SK:
