Quebec’s Bold Move: Major Immigration Programs on Hold—Find Out Why! https://canada.nohproblem.com/quebecs-bold-move-major-immigration-programs-on-hold-find-out-why/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=quebecs-bold-move-major-immigration-programs-on-hold-find-out-why https://canada.nohproblem.com/quebecs-bold-move-major-immigration-programs-on-hold-find-out-why/#respond Thu, 31 Oct 2024 22:45:12 +0000 https://canada.nohproblem.com/?p=18586 Hello! 👋

This is NohProblem Consulting, your latest information hub in Canada.

Today’s Topic: Suspension of Key Immigration Programs in Quebec

Today, the Quebec government announced that as part of a comprehensive reevaluation of its immigration strategy, the Legault government will suspend the issuance of the Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ), a crucial document for the immigration process for foreign students and economic immigrants, for the next few months.

This suspension will affect:

  1. Regular Skilled Workers Program
  2. Quebec Experience Program for recent graduates

A grace period is expected to last until June 30 of next year.

The Quebec government plans to use this freeze period to address pending applications and reassess immigration policies. They stated that this suspension will not affect the selection of new permanent residents planned for 2025, but it will impact the “admission scale” for 2026.

“Our objective is clear: We want to equip ourselves with the necessary means to better regulate immigration in Quebec.”
— Immigration Minister Jean-François Roberge

Programs Affected by the Suspension

What is the Regular Skilled Workers Program? 🤔

The PRTQ, or Programme régulier des travailleurs qualifiés, is known in English as the Regular Skilled Worker Program.

  • If applicants meet the minimum score set by the Quebec immigration grid, they can receive a CSQ and apply for Canadian permanent residency.
  • A job offer from the greater Montreal area can be advantageous for selection.

Application Process:

  1. Register a profile on Arrima.
  2. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).

Scoring Factors:

  • ☑ Age
  • ☑ Education/Qualifications
  • ☑ Language proficiency
  • ☑ Work experience
  • ☑ Family composition
  • ☑ Job offer

Candidates receive significantly more points for French language skills compared to English.

The Quebec government issues invitations to the highest-ranked candidates, and once approved, candidates receive the CSQ needed to apply for permanent residency.

What is the Quebec Experience Program? 🇨🇦

Also known as PEQ (Programme de l’expérience québécoise), this program is akin to the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and is a “post-study immigration program” by the Quebec provincial government.

Requirements for PEQ:

  • ☑ Graduation from a technical college or university
  • ☑ Proof of French language proficiency

Courses at Quebec technical schools typically last around 14 to 16 months, which is shorter than those in other provinces. Tuition fees are generally lower than at regular public universities, leading to more people moving to Montreal for this program.

Final Thoughts

This concludes our discussion on the announcement regarding the suspension of key immigration programs in Quebec. Stay updated on changing immigration policies and prepare for Canadian immigration with the help of immigration experts.

What is the Young Professionals Program?

The Young Professionals program is part of the International Experience Canada (IEC) program, which helps individuals develop their professional skills and experience in Canada. The well-known Working Holiday is also one of the IEC programs.

Unlike other IEC programs, the Young Professionals program requires a valid job offer from an employer.

🖐 Quick Note: What is IEC?

IEC is a program that allows youth from countries with agreements with Canada to work and travel in each other’s countries. The Working Holiday is one of the programs under the IEC.

The Young Professionals program, as the name suggests, targets young individuals aged 18 to 35, similar to the age restrictions of the Working Holiday program.

Young Professionals Eligibility Requirements and Key Points

✅ Aged 18-35
✅ A valid job offer is required (positions must correspond to TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3)

  • Note: If the job is related to a post-secondary program, TEER 4 positions may also be eligible.
✅ Must work for the company specified in the job offer
✅ Proof of initial settlement funds of $2,500 CAD is required

☑ Valid for 2 years (with one reapplication allowed)
☑ Accumulating 1 year of experience on this visa provides an additional 50 points for Express Entry applications

We have explored the Young Professionals program, one of the IEC programs.

Are you interested in working in Canada but find the requirement of a job offer for the Young Professionals program a bit challenging? Don’t worry—NohProblem is here to help!

Urgent Update: Major Changes to Immigration in Nova Scotia! https://canada.nohproblem.com/urgent-update-major-changes-to-immigration-in-nova-scotia/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=urgent-update-major-changes-to-immigration-in-nova-scotia https://canada.nohproblem.com/urgent-update-major-changes-to-immigration-in-nova-scotia/#respond Wed, 30 Oct 2024 22:08:34 +0000 https://canada.nohproblem.com/?p=18576 Hello, this is NohProblem Consulting, your source for the latest information on Canadian immigration.

Today, we have news about the temporary suspension of applications for Food Supervisors in Nova Scotia.

Let’s take a closer look!

Temporary Suspension of Food Supervisor Applications

On April 17, Nova Scotia announced a temporary suspension of applications for the Accommodation and Food Service sectors under the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) and the Nova Scotia Experience Express Entry (NSEEE) immigration streams.

This suspension includes positions in short-term accommodation services such as motels, hotels, and resorts, specifically for occupations classified under NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) codes 721 and 722.

This time, it has been announced that applications for Food Supervisors – NOC 62020 under both the AIP and NSEEE will be temporarily suspended.

What is the AIP (Atlantic Immigration Program)?

The AIP is an immigration program implemented in the four provinces adjacent to the Atlantic: Nova Scotia (NS), New Brunswick (NB), Prince Edward Island (PEI), and Newfoundland (NL). It was transformed from a pilot program in 2017 to a regular immigration program in 2022.

Key advantages of the AIP include:

✅ Lower minimum English language requirements compared to other immigration programs
✅ Relatively lower qualification criteria
✅ Faster permanent residency application process and employment stability
✅ Recognition of overseas experience
✅ No age restrictions
✅ Temporary work permits issued during processing, eliminating the need for an LMIA

These features make the AIP one of the most popular immigration programs.

The program types include:

♦︎ Atlantic High Skilled Program (AHSP)
♦︎ Atlantic Intermediate Skilled Program (AISP)
♦︎ Atlantic International Graduate Program (AIGP)

Each type has its own characteristics.

What is the NSEEE (Nova Scotia Experience Express Entry) Program?

The NSEEE is an express entry program implemented by the Nova Scotia provincial government. Applicants can apply for permanent residency if they meet the conditions of both the Nova Scotia provincial government and the Express Entry system.

Requirements include:

✅ At least one year of experience in Nova Scotia, Canada
✅ Aged 21 to 55
✅ English language requirements of CLB 7 (for NOC 0, 1) or CLB 5 (for NOC 2, 3), similar to Express Entry

Currently, the suspension of Food Supervisor applications applies only to Nova Scotia (NS) among the four provinces implementing the AIP program.

Today, we have discussed the temporary suspension of Food Supervisor applications in Nova Scotia.

As immigration policies continue to evolve, consulting with a Canadian immigration expert can help increase your chances of success.

At NohProblem Consulting, we provide honest and straightforward consulting based on facts and data. Unlike other immigration companies, our consulting team does not handle paperwork. Instead, we rely on a professional document team and our immigration attorney, Lisa, who conducts four thorough cross-checks.

Unlock Your Adventure: Discover the Secrets of the 2025 Canada Working Holiday! https://canada.nohproblem.com/unlock-your-adventure-discover-the-secrets-of-the-2025-canada-working-holiday/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=unlock-your-adventure-discover-the-secrets-of-the-2025-canada-working-holiday https://canada.nohproblem.com/unlock-your-adventure-discover-the-secrets-of-the-2025-canada-working-holiday/#respond Mon, 28 Oct 2024 21:57:26 +0000 https://canada.nohproblem.com/?p=18568 Hello, this is NohProblem Consulting.

Today, we will be discussing the 2025 Canada Working Holiday.

What is a Working Holiday?

A Working Holiday is a program that allows young people from countries that have signed agreements to stay in the host country while engaging in tourism, employment, and language studies, thus experiencing local culture and life.

Currently, South Korea has signed Working Holiday agreements with 24 countries and regions listed below, and youth from these countries can also participate in our Working Holiday program.

The Overseas Koreans Agency plans to expand the Working Holiday program so that our youth can venture into many countries and grow as global talents.

To participate in the Working Holiday, you must apply for a Working Holiday visa at the relevant embassy (or consulate) or immigration office.

This visa is a “tourist work visa” that allows you to travel and work legally in the host country, enabling you to obtain funds for travel through temporary employment.

Since the visa issuance conditions, required documents, and application periods vary by country and region, please choose your destination and carefully review the visa information for that country.

Canada Working Holiday

Last year marked the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Canada, and the 2024 Canada Working Holiday policy has changed, making the application conditions more flexible.

Unlike the previous condition, where applicants could be up to 30 years old, now the age limit has been extended to 35, and the number of selected applicants has more than doubled.

The selection criteria for the 2025 Canada Working Holiday are expected to be similar to those of 2024.

The 2024 Working Holiday officially ended with the last lottery draw on October 21. It seems likely that the recruitment for the 2025 Working Holiday will open in December, similar to this year.

Since there is a fixed number of selections for the Working Holiday, those considering the 2025 program should prepare in advance to increase their chances of approval.

Advantages of the Canada Working Holiday

There are several reasons why Canada is recommended among Working Holiday countries.

✅ Nature: One of Canada’s great advantages is its beautiful natural scenery. From the Rocky Mountains in Banff to the Northern Lights in Yellowknife and Niagara Falls in Toronto, these stunning landscapes are often on people’s bucket lists, all under a clear sky without worries about fine dust.

✅ Multicultural Country: Canada is a multicultural country, with 45% of its population being immigrants from various nations. This allows you to learn about cultural diversity, and there is relatively less discrimination compared to other countries.

✅ English-speaking: As an English-speaking country, Canada uses a form of English very similar to American English, making it easier for those studying English.

✅ Travel to the U.S.: Located in North America, it is easy to travel to the United States by car or plane across the border.

✅ Opportunity for Canadian Permanent Residency: For those interested in immigration or employment in Canada, you may have heard about the recent suspension of low-wage LMIA. Many people were preparing for Canadian immigration or employment by obtaining a work permit through LMIA. This suspension has made it a bit more challenging to obtain work permits through LMIA. Therefore, for those under 35, the Working Holiday presents a great opportunity to pursue permanent residency.

2025 Canada Working Holiday

Why Work with NohProblem?

Many people choose to manage their own Working Holiday applications. However, many face difficulties preparing documents in English and often seek help.

That’s when you should work with us at NohProblem Consulting, a local immigration agency in Canada!

NohProblem Consulting was founded by our immigration attorney, Director Lisa, after experiencing fraud from a study abroad agency in her early twenties and feeling frustrated by some visa agencies. Therefore, we understand our clients’ situations better than anyone and provide services at reasonable prices.

Unlike other immigration agencies, our team does not handle paperwork; we have a dedicated documentation team specializing in paperwork. Our immigration attorney, Director Lisa, and the documentation team perform a total of four cross-checks to review all paperwork.

Canada’s New Immigration Plan Revealed: What You Need to Know for 2025-2027! https://canada.nohproblem.com/canadas-new-immigration-plan-revealed-what-you-need-to-know-for-2025-2027/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=canadas-new-immigration-plan-revealed-what-you-need-to-know-for-2025-2027 https://canada.nohproblem.com/canadas-new-immigration-plan-revealed-what-you-need-to-know-for-2025-2027/#respond Fri, 25 Oct 2024 21:56:39 +0000 https://canada.nohproblem.com/?p=18559 Hello, this is NohProblem Consulting.

Today, we will take a look at Canada’s newly announced 2025-2027 plan for temporary residents and immigrants over the next three years.

Canada’s 2025-2027 Temporary Resident Plan

Earlier, Canada announced a 10% reduction in the number of international students by 2025 compared to 2024. It also aims to maintain similar numbers for 2026 and 2027. Through this temporary resident plan, Canada aims to reduce the proportion of temporary residents in the total population from 7% to 5% by 2026.

Canada’s 2025-2027 Immigration Plan

Recently, Canada has reflected the concerns of its citizens regarding the continuous increase in immigration. As a result, it announced a reduction in the number of new immigrants for the 2025-2027 period. This decision aims to ease housing and social service pressures caused by rapid population growth, ensuring a more sustainable population increase. The revised target numbers for new immigrants are as follows:

This shows a 21% reduction from the 2023 target for new immigrants.

Reduction in the Number of Temporary Residents

The number of temporary residents will also be adjusted, with efforts to reduce their proportion in the total population from 7% to 5% by the end of 2026. Canada announced in September and last year that this reduction is necessary for the upcoming years. Compared to last year, the number of temporary residents in Canada is expected to decrease gradually:

✔ In 2025, a decrease of 445,901
✔ In 2026, a decrease of 445,66
✔ In 2027, an increase of 17,439 ▲

It is anticipated that over 40% of the 2025 immigration plan will focus on granting permanent residency to those who are already in Canada as students or workers. The government aims to support their transition to permanent residency status.

Long-Term Economic Growth

The goal of this immigration plan is to achieve long-term economic growth in Canada. Accordingly, the government is focused on increasing the proportion of economic immigrants, particularly in sectors such as healthcare and trade skills. By 2027, it is expected that 61.7% of economic immigrants will be skilled workers in these sectors.

French-Speaking Applicants

The immigration plan includes a focus on increasing the number of French-speaking immigrants:

✔ 8.5% in 2025
✔ 9.5% in 2026
✔ 10% in 2027

This is higher than the targets set in the 2024-2026 immigration plan, which aimed to increase the proportion of French speakers from 7% to 8%.

Detailed information on Canada’s 2025-2027 immigration plan can be found below through related images.

Canada’s population has increased over the past few years, reaching 41 million in 2024, and 98% of the population growth in 2023 was due to immigration. This new immigration plan anticipates a slight decrease of 0.2% in population growth in 2025 and 2026, followed by a return to 0.8% growth in 2027.

Today, we reviewed Canada’s newly announced 2025-2027 plan for temporary residents and immigrants.

While it is true that the overall number of immigrants will decrease, this plan seems to be more favorable for those who are already living in Canada as temporary residents and engaged in economic activities. It may not impact those who are currently preparing for immigration from abroad, such as from Korea, as much. Additionally, the existing permanent residency streams will not disappear.

As immigration and temporary resident restrictions tighten, we highly recommend preparing your immigration plan with a reliable immigration agency like NohProblem. By doing so, you can increase your chances of success. At NohProblem Consulting, we are committed to transparent and honest guidance, especially since the company was founded by someone who was once scammed by another agency during their own study abroad process. We aim to be a trustworthy and ethical partner throughout your immigration journey.

Breaking Down Canada’s Immigration Plan: How to Navigate the New 2025-2027 Rules! https://canada.nohproblem.com/breaking-down-canadas-immigration-plan-how-to-navigate-the-new-2025-2027-rules/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=breaking-down-canadas-immigration-plan-how-to-navigate-the-new-2025-2027-rules https://canada.nohproblem.com/breaking-down-canadas-immigration-plan-how-to-navigate-the-new-2025-2027-rules/#respond Thu, 24 Oct 2024 22:15:50 +0000 https://canada.nohproblem.com/?p=18553 Hello! This is NohProblem Consulting, your go-to source for the latest Canadian immigration information.

Today, we’re going to discuss the 2025-2027 Canadian Immigration Plan announced on the 24th.

Shall we dive in?

Today, the Canadian government unveiled its 2025-2027 immigration levels plan. Each year, Canada announces its immigration plan for the next three years at the end of the year. This year’s numbers for 2025-2027 show a roughly 20% reduction compared to the figures announced in 2023, indicating a policy aimed at reducing overall immigration numbers. The announced figures are as follows:

According to the plan, Canada expects a 0.2% population decrease in 2025 and 2026, followed by a return to 0.8% population growth in 2027.

The Immigration Department explained that this reduction is an effort to lower the proportion of temporary residents in the overall Canadian population from 7% to 5% by the end of 2026. Considering the temporary resident reduction measures announced in September and last year, Canada’s temporary population is expected to decrease over the next few years.

✔︎ 2025: A decrease of 445,901 🔻
✔︎ 2026: A decrease of 445,662 🔻
✔︎ 2027: An increase of 17,439 🔺

Recent discussions in Canada highlight that an overly aggressive immigration policy has been linked to rising housing prices and unemployment rates. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, interest rates have surged, placing a heavy mortgage burden on Canadians. The influx of immigrants has driven up housing demand, exacerbating the housing shortage. Additionally, the inflow of relatively inexpensive labor has contributed to a rise in youth unemployment and increased pressure on public services.

The reduction in immigration numbers appears to be a measure to protect Canadian citizens from these issues. The government stated, “This shows the end of the pandemic era when temporary resident criteria were relaxed to fill labor shortages.”

That’s the summary of Canada’s immigration plan for the next three years.

While overall immigration numbers are being reduced, Canada will continue to welcome immigrants. Permanent residency streams already in place won’t disappear. However, as immigration policies and temporary resident restrictions become stricter, it’s recommended to work with a trustworthy immigration firm like NohProblem to increase your chances of success in preparing your immigration plan.

NohProblem Consulting was founded out of frustration after being scammed by a study abroad agency and witnessing the unfair practices of some visa service providers. Our company’s foundation is built on the goal of operating with transparency and honesty, more than anyone else.
