Starting July 29, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has introduced an important change: when certain applications are refused, applicants will now automatically receive officer decision notes along with the refusal letter.

These notes come directly from the officer who made the decision — giving applicants valuable insight into why their application was refused. This marks a big step forward in transparency and fairness.
